|It sounds incredible, right? But how will Shahrukh Khan pull off this feat? Trust the superstar’s canny mind to come up with novel strategies that will not just promote his film Happy New Year, but also bring in the moolah. Here’s how.
As per reports, Shahrukh Khan has a new game-plan in mind. The superstar is planning worldwide shows with the film’s cast, something on the lines of Temptation Reloaded (see photos), but this one is going to be bigger and better.
The entire Happy New Year cast comprising of Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah will be roped in for the shows planned in the US, UK and UAE. Director Farah Khan will also join her Happy bunch.

“The cast agreed to the arrangement as SRK will pay them over and above their acting fee. Around 140 professional dancers will also be hired. It’s an ambitious venture which aims to be even bigger than the Temptations Reloaded concert tour,” a source is quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror.
As per reports, there will around 25-30 shows and each is expected to fetch SRK Rs 7 crore. Going by this calculation, the shows could add almost Rs 200 crore to SRK’s pocket even before the film opens in the theatres.
A business masterstroke! Not for nothing is Shahrukh Khan the second richest actor in the world.
The preparation for the show has already begun. The ‘Happy New Year’ actors have reportedly been asked to allot dates in August for rehearsals, which will be conducted at Shahrukh Khan’s office itself. Meanwhile, all of them have already allotted dates for the shows, to be held in September and October, prior to movie’s release this Diwali.
Since Shahrukh Khan has a good fan base abroad, the show is aimed at NRI audiences. More than anything, it’s a novel concept that breaks new barriers in film promotion.
Hats off to you, SRK!
