Varun Dhawan is ready to shed his loverboy image in director Sriram Raghavan’s Badlapur. The film is already taking him places.
The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania star has no time to rest on his laurels. He’s already plunged himself headlong into the skin of the new character and is seen with a beard these days.
The latest scoop from Badlapur is that Varun Dhawan recently visited Nashik jail to shoot for an important sequence that was filmed with real inmates. According to sources, Varun’s character in the scene is shown meeting some women convicts. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was also part of the shoot.
Reportedly, Varun was nervous about coming face-to-face with real convicts as he had never visited a prison before. The shoot went smooth and the 27-year-old was a tad surprised to see that some women convicts live in prison with their little kids.
Badlapur, as the title suggests, is a revenge drama. Huma Qureshi plays a pivotal role in it. The film is reportedly a dark thriller and it’s being said that Varun Dhawan has also shot a scene with real corpses in a morgue. That’s chilling.
