There’s no stopping the roaring box office run of Salman Khan’s Eid release Kick. The film hasn’t lost steam even during the week days.
The spike in business that Kick showed on Eid (Tuesday) with the day’s collection of Rs. 28.89 crore continued on Wednesday with an excellent Rs. 21.66 crore net from the Indian box office. Toting up the figures gives us the six-day collection of the film at Rs. 148.66 crore, as per trade reports.
That’s an excellent box office performance in under a week.
Compared with other Salman Khan films, Kick will surpass the lifetime collection of Bodyguard (Rs. 148.86 crore) and Dabangg 2 (Rs. 155 crore) on Thursday.
In other words, Kick will become the second highest Salman Khan grosser ever today. The film is chasing the Rs. 198 crore collection record, which is highest for any Salman Khan film to date for his Ek Tha Tiger.
Looking at the way Kick is performing at ticket windows, ApunKaChoice predicts it will not just beat Ek Tha Tiger but also mark a debut for Salman in the 200 crore club.
The entire Kick team is ecstatic about the film’s superb box office run. Jacqueline Fernandez’s career has got a big boost. Director Sajid Nadiadwala has added another feather to his already studded cap as the producer. As for Salman Khan, well, he’s by now used to 100 crore blockbusters. We’re sure nothing short of Rs. 200 crore will please him.
