A younger Katrina Kaif is required! Yes, the hunt is on for a lookalike of the actress who can play her younger version in the upcoming film Fitoor.
However, finding one is not turning out to be easy for the makers. As per sources, the casting team is facing a tough time finding a girl of 11-13 who can convincingly play a young Katrina Kaif. The actress who is half-Indian and half-Brit is blessed with refined facial features and porcelain skin and it goes without saying that the girl playing her younger self in ‘Fitoor’ ought to fit the bill.
In the movie, Katrina plays a Kashmiri girl Firdaus, and thus the makers are on the lookout for a girl with similar features. With no success in India, the auditions are now being conducted worldwide. The casting director is said to have sent across Katrina Kaif’s photograph for the same.
There have been reports that a boy has been finalized to essay the younger Aditya Roy Kapoor in the movie. But according to the casting director Mukesh Chhabra, they are yet to get a younger Aditya and Kat.
“In fact, we have just started casting for the film, so it will take us sometime. But yes, for a younger version of Katrina, we are conducting auditions worldwide,” Mukesh is quoted as saying by a tabloid.
Fitoor will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor. It is a passionate love saga adapted from Charles Dickens’ famous Victorian novel The Great Expectations. The movie will be shot across North India -- including Kashmir and Delhi -- and also at an international destination. The movie depicts an unusual relationship between three characters -- a young Kashmiri boy, Noor (Aditya), his muse, Firdaus (Katrina), and the Begum (Rekha) who has raised Firduas.
