The slow and steady Abhay Deol’s smart career moves have given him a rare chance to meet some of the legendary figures from Hollywood.

Of late, Abhay is just busy attending international film festivals and recently when he was in Doha, Qatar, for the Tribeca Film Festival, he got to meet, none other than Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese.

The Dev D actor who was attending the festival with the film ‘The Road’ was so thrilled with the experience that he said, “I actually rubbed my eyes in disbelief. I couldn’t believe that I was getting a chance to interact with two of the most powerful names in Hollywood,” as quoted by a daily.

However, both De Niro and Scorsese attended the Tribeca Film Festival for a noble cause as the director-actor duo is now the head of World Cinema Foundation where they intend to restore old Bollywood and Hollywood films. They want to restore ‘Kalpana’, a 1960 classic Hindi film.

Abhay confesses that he was bowled over by the humble behavior exhibited by the two superstars and silently hoped that at least one of them had at least seen his film.
