Aamir Khan’s funeral song

When this song was created producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani called up Aamir Khan to tell him that the song for his funeral was ready. And Aamir was taken aback for a while to see that his friends had already thought of his demise.

But all this was done in good humour as Raju, Vinod and Aamir are good friends. Yes, it’s hard to believe because once Aamir was apprehensive to work with Vinod, and the producer also knew that.

In case you’re wondering what that funeral song is - it’s Behta Hawa Sa Tha Woh from the movie 3 Idiots, sung by Shaan and Shantanu Moitra which according to Raju and Vinod is for Aamir’s funeral.

The simple tune of the song tugs at your heart and truly justifies Aamir’s own free-spirited nature, his vigour, his zeal for life and that’s why the song is like a dedication to Aamir Khan.

Check out the song’s lyrics - “Behti hawa sa tha woh, udti patang sa tha woh, kahan gaya usse dhundon …humko to rahein thi chalati, woh khud apni rah banata, girta sambhalta, masti mein chalta tha woh…”

Aamir disclosed this when the crew was recently promoting the movie’s music album at an event. Isn’t the song just for Aamir Khan?
