|Farah Khan’s much-talked-about film Happy New Year with her favourite star Shahrukh Khan won’t roll any time soon. Rather, it’s Akshay Kumar who’s over taken the flamboyant Khan and will star in the next film to be directed by Farah Khan.
The movie, titled Tees Maar Khan, is the brainchild of Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder who had previously directed the super-dud Jaaneman with Akshay and Salman Khan a few years back. However, this time, Shirish isn’t in the mood to don the director’s cap. He’d rather let his wife Farah, who’s directed two superhits Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, do the job.
Talking about the film, Shirish discloses that he wrote the script keeping Akshay in mind. But he opted for Farah to direct it because it belongs to a genre that is Farah’s forte. There would be tons of comedy, action, romance and drama in ‘Tees Maar Khan’.
Shirish would be content in producing the film along with Akshay Kumar. Yes, Akki’s banner Hari Om Productions will co-produce ‘Tees Maar Khan’. The film will go on the floors in March next year.
But then, what happens to Farah’s film ‘Happy New Year’ with SRK?
Farah says she isn’t yet ready with the film’s script. Moreover, SRK is going to be busy with his home production Ra.One and Farhan Akhtar’s Don sequel for the most of 2010. So, ‘Happy New Year’ might not roll for another year.
