Kareena Kapoor’s character a la Katrina Kaif’s
Almost identical?

A lot has been said by Kareena Kapoor about her role in Kurbaan but now it seems as though her role has similar shades to that of Katrina Kaif’s in New York.

It is apparent that both Kat and Bebo play wives to husbands who are actually terrorists. Well, the director of ‘Kurbaan’ Rensil D’Silva doesn’t deny the similarities between the two films but avoids commenting at all on Kareena’s role.

He told an agency, “If there are similarities between ‘Kurbaan’ and ‘New York’ then that’s fine. I’ve high regards for Kabir Khan as a filmmaker. If ‘Kurbaan’ reminds audiences of Kabir’s film then I’m fine with that. It has worthy recall-value.”

In ‘Kurbaan’, Saif Ali Khan is a college professor but actually he is a terrorist and Kareena who is a Hindu girl, is his wife. About the film which is releasing today, the director has one thing to say, “I’d like to believe my film is essentially different from Kabir’s,”

We’ll just let our own eyes be the judge regarding Kareena’s role.
