Amitabh Bachchan to piggyback on Abhishek at 'Paa' premiere

Amitabh Bachchan is the man of the moment. Never in the history of Indian cinema has a 67-year-old star transformed himself so convincingly to play a 12-year-old child (traversing a gap of 55 years) for a role. Big B plays the little tyke in Paa which is set for release on December 4.

On the film’s premiere on December 3, however, Abhishek Bachchan, who plays Big B’s father in the film, plans to pull off a small stunt. He plans to carry Big B piggyback to the film’s premiere venue where celebrities from the film and business world, including the close friends and family of the Bachchans, would descend for the show.

Though Mr. Bachchan is hesitant about putting to much strain on his son’s back, he’s learnt to have agreed to ride piggyback on Abhi to recreate a scene from the film at the premiere.

Since the movie is produced by AB Corp. Ltd, the Bachchans are leaving no stone unturned to promote ‘Paa’.

The film’s director R. Balki says they first planned to have Big B dressed up and made up as Auro, the 12-year-old progeric kid, at the premiere but they abandoned the plan because it would have been too distracting for the guests. Moreover, it wasn’t feasible to call over make-up artiste Christien Tinsley from the US to do Big B’s make-up especially for the premiere.
