With so much attention on the title of Aamir Khan’s next movie, one must question why it is called 3 Idiots? Witty Director Rajkumar Hirani tells us why.

The director who has pulled comedies like Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munna Bhai with aplomb; showed his quirky-witty side during an interview with a FM channel and said, “Idiots think unconventionally and they listen to their heart while taking a decision. ‘Idiots’ means ‘I do it on my terms.’

May be that’s the reason why he chose term ‘Idiots’. When Hirani read Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Five Point Someone’, he just wanted to make a film based on the novel. “Whatever you see in ‘3 idiots’ is taken from our life. Some parts of the film are so natural that one can easily identify with what he or his friends did since the beginning of their college life,” as Hirani is quoted.

The movie ‘3 Idiots’ is about three engineering students Aamir, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan and their experiences on the campus. So what’s the message in the film - “The message in this film is you study to be eligible, success is ought to come.” The film which is mainly shot at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad stars Kareena Kapoor as a medical student.

And guess who is going to make a special appearance in the film, it’s the effervescent Kajol.
