The mobile connection between Shahid Kapoor & Priyanka Chopra
An uncanny coincidence

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor may have allegedly put an end to their brief romantic affair, but coincidences continue to chase the couple.

Just a few days back, the two found themselves sharing the same hotel while shooting their respective films at a foreign location. And now, an uncanny coincidence has connected the two in a way none could have imagined.

In the theatrical trailer of Shahid’s next film Chance Pe Dance, the actor is seen holding an audition slide which displays the mobile number of his character in the film. Coincidentally, it is the same number that Priyanka’s character displayed on a slide in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Fashion.

Since UTV is the banner under which both the films are made, the decision to use the number may have been deliberate.

In reality, the number doesn’t belong to Priyanka or Shahid. It’s the mobile number of former UTV employee Ram Mirchandani, who has expressed his surprise over his number being used in ‘Chance Pe Dance’.

When ‘Fashion’ released last year, Mirchandani was flooded with calls from people who thought it was Priyanka’s number. Now, when ‘Chance Pe Dance’ releases, can we expect Shahid’s fans to dial up the same number?
