Katrina danced in a short shrunk saree while shooting for a romantic rain song with Akshay.

It was a song sequence for Priyadarshan’s next film ‘De Dana Dan’. Katrina Kaif wasn’t trying to do a satyam shivam sundaram act, but it was purely incidental that the actress’ full-length saree shrank to half while shooting in the rain, creating a minor hitch for the crew. But wasn’t that sexier!

Actresses clad in chiffon sarees, soaked in rain and doing sensuous moves, make Bollywood’s most unforgettable romantic songs. Priyadarshan too wanted the same from his lead pair, Akshay Kumar and Katrina. But none had anticipated that Katrina’s sexy saree would become sexier by shrinking to her knee-length and exposing her long and shapely legs.

Faced with such an unexpected problem, the director, and choreographer Pony Verma decided to avoid full length shots. So the hot dance number was shot with close-ups and mid-length shots of Katrina getting wet in the rain with Akki. And according to sources, the result was unexpectedly better.

Still, it was a shocking incident as designer clothes generally don’t shrink. Someone in the costume department must have botched up. But Katrina was cool as a cat cavorting about in that shrunk saree even though she sprained her back in an excited dance move with Akshay.
