Ranbir Kapoor & Imran Khan not best friends
No time for friendship

They may enjoy careening down the deserted roads on segway at night, but Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan are not best friends. In Ranbir’s words, they are just “friends”.

Earlier this year Ranbir and Imran won many a heart with their sparkling chemistry at Filmfare awards. Since then the duo has been offered many projects together, but none of them fructified beyond “preliminary stage”, as Ranbir puts it.

Moreover, Ranbir is now not so enthused about working with Imran. The reason? His last two films as solo hero - Wake Up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani - have been lapped up by the audience and Ranbir now wants to focus on his solo career. That’s why a film with Imran is not on top of Ranbir’s mind nowadays.

“Imran and I are friends but not the best of friends. Where is the time for friendship?” says the busy actor who’s presently busy shooting for director Siddharth Anand’s film Anjaana Anjaani with Priyanka Chopra.

Must say, of all the newcomers who’ve stepped into Bollywood in recent years, Ranbir has taken the lead. He’s worked with all the top actresses (except a few) while Imran still has to emerge as a bankable star following the debacle of his last two releases Kidnap and Luck.
