Karan Johar blown away by Shahrukh
It’s not unusual to hear K-Jo singing SRK’s praises.

Karan Johar blown away by Shahrukh My Name Is Khan
Karan Johar is mighty impressed by what Shahrukh Khan is contributing to his film My Name Is Khan by playing the leading character of an autistic man. Though the superstar has been given a well-rehearsed script, SRK has been doing his own personal research on autism to be able to play his character convincingly.

On his experience of directing SRK after ‘Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna’, Karan Johar is quoted by a news agency as saying: “Time and again I'm blown away by Shah Rukh. How can he think of so many things about his character when he has so much on his plate? He has done monumental research on his autistic character. I was zapped by how much he knew on the subject. And he brought all the knowledge on the sets.”

K-Jo also admitted, rather candidly, that he can never match SRK’s understanding of human nature and emotions. The director also feels SRK has all it takes to direct a film. But whether SRK chooses the path taken by his contemporaries like Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgan remains to be seen.

Johar is also delighted at the chemistry between SRK and Kajol in ‘My Name Is Khan’.

“They instinctively understand each other's acting. When I direct a scene with Shah Rukh and Kajol, I know I'm doing my best work,” Johar said.

Interestingly, ‘My Name Is Khan’ won’t have any lip-sync songs. All the songs, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, will play in the background.
