Call it the lure of lucre, judicious thinking or plain greed, but Bakhtiyaar Irani preferred to pocket Rs. 1 million (10 lakh) than risk losing it all as ‘Bigg Boss 3’ moves closer to its finale.
Bhaktiyaar and the three other contestants - Poonam Dillon, Vindoo Dara Singh, Parvesh Rana - were given the choice of continuing to stay in the Bigg Boss’s house and fight it out till the finale or voluntarily leave the house with a sum of Rs 10 lakh.
Irani, not so surprisingly, chose the latter.
“There was a bag full of money on the table. I had two options: either to be one of the winners or to be one of the people clapping for the winner. I didn’t want to be the latter. I evalued the pros and cons and decided this was better,” Bhaktiyaar is quoted as saying by a news agency.
Clearly, Bhakhtiyaar’s decision was a calculated one.
Bhakhtiyaar also added that he was missing his wife Tanaaz, with whom he had had many ups and downs before she was evicted from the house, and that he now wants to say sorry to her.
Well, with a million bucks in his pocket, he may not need to do so.
‘Bigg Boss 3’ now comes to its end stages where two more contestants will be eliminated before the winner takes away the grand prize of Rs 1 crore. Phew!
