If the gay antics of John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in Dostana had you in splits, then get ready to double up with laughter in the film’s sequel which John promises will be funnier than the original.
“It is hilarious! I almost fell off the chair while reading the script, it is so funny!” said John on the sidelines of an event where he launched new bike models from Yamaha at the ongoing Auto Expo in New Delhi.
Speaking about the film, John confirmed that he and Abhishek would reprise their roles.
“The sequel will pick up from where Dostana left off. So there is me and Abhishek playing the same characters again,” he said.
Having worked together in two films (Dhoom and Dostana) now, John and Abhi share quite a rapport.
“After we starred together in Dostana, Abhishek has nicknamed me as his 'jiggly poo'. He sends me messages on my birthday saying 'Happy Birthday Jiggly Poo'!” John revealed.
Seen last year in just one movie New York, John says he would rather do quality films than run after quantity.
“This is how it has been. In 2008 there was ‘Dostana’, ‘New York’ in 2009. I would rather do sensible stuff and be remembered for them rather than merely increase the number of films in my kitty,” John said.
Speaking about his passion for bikes, John said he believes in safe driving rather than showing stunts on bikes.
“I don't do any more stupid stunts, as I have realised that youngsters do follow me and try to ape whatever I do. I never go in for rash biking and ride really slow so that people do it too,” said the actor.
