30 elephants now have homes, thanks to actor John Abraham

John's elephantine love!
John Abraham is always game when it comes to endorsing good causes. He’s featured in a number of PETA ads and helped promote different sports, mostly football.

Now, the actor has helped provide homes to 30 homeless elephants.

John says it’s his parents who inspire him to support social causes. His father is an architect who’s been instrumental in providing earthquake-resistant homes to people in Latur. His mother is a social activist.

“My parents are the reason that I support social causes...be it providing shelter, protecting animals or spreading health awareness,” John is quoted as saying in a media report.

Recovering from a leg injury he suffered on the sets of ‘Hook Ya Crook’, John is happy at the good run of his latest film ‘New York’ at theatres. Now, he’s gone to London to work on director Abbas Tyrewala’s next film co-starring the director’s wife Pakhi.

But before leaving, John was visited by his girlfriend Bipasha Basu who flew specially from Hyderabad to be with her beau for a day. The two now won’t be able to meet for at least a month during which John will be in London.
