'Chance Pe Dance' is a fun film: Genelia D'Souza

Genelia D'Souza is looking perky and bubbly with Shahid Kapoor in the promos of this Friday’s release Chance Pe Dance. The cute babe, who plays a choreographer in the movie, says those who watch the movie will come out thoroughly entertained.

“Well, yes, this is a fun film for sure, though there are some emotional moments as well. Of course, there is a lot of music, fun, romance and dance but at the crux of it, 'Chance Pe Dance' stays on to be a heartwarming, feel-good musical entertainer,” she is quoted as saying by a news agency.

However, Genelia wasn’t the first choice for the film. Jiah Khan was the original heroine and even shot for a substantial portion of the film before she was dropped and Genelia was roped in as Shahid’s ladylove.

When she stepped into the breach, Genelia did not see the footage already shot by Jiah.

“There was no point doing so because I wanted to approach my character in a totally fresh manner. The part had anyway been re-written; so it was anyway a new character to begin with,” she said.

In the movie, Shahid plays a struggling actor who’s a good dancer as well. Director by Ken Ghosh, ‘Chance Pe Dance’ is set for release on January 15.
