Rakhi Sawant to go on ‘bhookh hartaal’

The oh-so-famous Rakhi Sawant has found another tool to be in the limelight. Here is a new turn to her latest ‘Kamini’ controversy. The firebrand girl wants an answer from the Censor Board as to why the word ‘Kamini’ is banned from her latest song?

Not even willing to bleep the word, Rakhi has given the Censor Board a week’s notice to explain what is wrong with the word ‘Kamini’ in her song ‘Bhoot’ from IshQ Bector’s album. In her argument she has included everyone from Dharmendra to Vishal Bhardawaj - “Dharmendra has been saying the word ‘kaminey’ for years. Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey came, were they asleep? If Rakhi Sawant sings ‘Kamini Tera Bhoot Chad Gaya Re’, they get stung.”

“Kyon? In the trailers of Ishqiya they show Vidya Balan punch-drunk on television, and that too in a saree. Is that allowed in our culture? Ladkiyan khule-aam choli utaar rahi hai,” the furious Rakhi tells a tabloid.

According to her, the members of censor board have done injustice to her. This is her first production venture under her banner Faith Inc. and she claims she is “damaged” because of this. And if she doesn’t get a reply from the board within a week, she threatens to go on bhookh hartaal (hunger strike) outside the Censor office.

This is for the first time someone has threatened the board with a bhookh hartaal.
