Cheryl Cole snaps ties with 'cheating' hubby

British popstar Cheryl Cole has decided to snap ties with her footballer husband Ashley Cole, Chelsea and England defender, after more disclosure of his sexual flings outside his marriage.

A little less than four years since her marriage, Cheryl is all set to separate.

The singer's spokesman, Sundraj Sreenivasan, said: “Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole. Cheryl asks the media to respect her privacy during this difficult time. We have no further comment to make.”

Ashley’s infidelity first came to light in 2008 when a 22-year-old hairdresser claimed that a drunken Ashley picked her up from a bar and took her to his flat for sex. However, just months later, Cheryl forgave her husband, saying: “Look, Ashley's young, and he's got a young mentality for his age anyway. He's learning.”

Then on Feb 12 this year, Sonia Wild, a topless model claimed Ashley sent her a photo that has him just in underpants. And on Feb 21, an American local govt worker claimed she had sex with Ashley last year. Not just that the UK’s Mirror published report of Ashley bedding a girl named Alexandra Taylor on the day he had his first official night-out with Cheryl.

With skeletons tumbling out of Ashley Cole’s closet, Cheryl has clearly been devastated. She had fled to the US when fresh reports about her husband's behaviour surfaced and arrived back in the UK last evening minus her wedding ring.
