Taking small steps rather than making giant leaps, Shahid Kapoor has carved his own niche in tinsel town, seven years after he made his debut in Ishq Vishk. Today, as Shahid turns 29, he’s looking forward to let 2010 be a year of learning for him.
Contrary to rumours of him having a lavish bash on his birthday, Shahid will be practicing throughout the day for his performance at the upcoming Filmfare Awards ceremony. His act at the award show will be dedicated to the deceased popstar Michael Jackson.
Later in the day, he would go out for a quiet dinner with his very close friends.
His last two releases, Dil Bole Hadippa and Chance Pe Dance having tanked at the box office, Shahid has become all the more choosy about the films he signs. This year, for instance, he’s going to be singularly focussed on his dad’s directorial debut film, tentatively titled ‘Mausam’.
Shahid says he has a lot to learn from his dad Pankaj Kapoor, who is considered one of the best actors in India.
