‘Angry Young Man’ - the epithet was most popularly and appropriately used for Amitabh Bachchan after a string of serious, angst-ridden roles in films like Zanjeer, Deewar and Shakti among others in his heydays.

Now, sonny Abhishek Bachchan is set to turn an angry young man, and a cop at that, for producer Rohan Sippy’s film ‘Dum Maro Dum’ which is about the drug mafia in Goa.

In fact, Rohan goes on to confirm that Abhishek’s character of a specialist cop in the flick is modelled on the seething, simmering police inspector played by Big B in ‘Zanjeer’. It’s the same smouldering intensity that Rohan hopes Abhishek would recreate on the screen for ‘Dum Maro Dum’.

While how much Abhishek manages to do that remains to be seen, a special team has been put in place to work on the look and styling of Abhi in the film.

The movie also has Bipasha Basu playing a junkie.
