‘Atithi’ continues to pull crowd to box office
New releases not up to the mark

Eesha Koppikar and Sunny Deol-starrer Right Yaaa Wrong, the suspense movie Hide & Seek, and four other small budget flicks couldn’t woo the audience during the weekend. Still it’s Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? that’s enjoying the position of a crowd puller.

Running through its second week, the movie managed better collections over its second weekend. Now, the movie’s ten-day total is Rs 20.50 crore approx, quite a good collection for a small budget film. And as reported, the second week for the movie will end at around Rs 7.50 crore approx more and the film could have a lifetime business of Rs 30 crore approx.

On the second position in the box office race is the Farhan Akhtar-Deepika Padukone-starrer Karthik Calling Karthik which collected Rs 3 crore from its second week. My Name Is Khan comes third; the movie collected Rs 1.70 crore from its fourth week and chances of it beating 3 Idiots depend largely on its release in Germany and Poland.

If it can do well in these two countries, it won’t be a big hurdle for it to cross the ‘3 Idiots’ mark.

This Friday, the major release is the much anticipated, bold film Love Sex Aur Dhokha.
