Lindsay Lohan could be banned from coming to India
American celebrity, model, actor and party girl Lindsay Lohan might be banned from coming to India in the future. Reason? The 23-year-old is learnt to have flouted visa norms during her first and only visit to India in December last year.

Lohan had visited India on a tourist visa and shot for a documentary on child trafficking for BBC. According to visa rules, she should have taken a short-term work visa.

Not just that, the ‘Mean Girls’ star had made rather exaggerated claims of her social activism during her stay in India. On her twitter account, she had boasted of having saved 40 children from child trafficking in a day.

“Over 40 children saved so far ... Within one day's work ... This is what life is about ... Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!” she had posted on the social networking site.

However, according to local activists in the area, the kids had been rescued even before Lohan had arrived in India. She just visited them.

Anyway, Lohan’s boastful claim can’t be a reason for banning her from visiting India again. But violating the visa rules certainly could put her on the blacklist.
