‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’ begins slow at box office
Sex isn’t selling!

The entire hullabaloo over ‘sex’ in Love Sex Aur Dhokha couldn’t help the movie make a great opening. The film opened with poor collections of around 25-30% at multiplexes and grossed just Rs 3.25 crore approx over its first weekend.

During Saturday and Sunday, the collections did not show much hike from its first day figure. Since the movie’s budget is just Rs 2 crore, it may easily recover its costs. A profitable venture for Ekta Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee. But the question remains, why janta isn’t accepting the film? Is it too experimental?

The result will be out in the coming days. However, like LSD other releases also turned out poor at BO. Shaapit and Lahore both failed to strike a chord with the audience.

‘Shaapit’ did well on single screens but was dull at multiplexes. The first weekend business of the movie is Rs 3 crore approx. It may pick up later in the week especially on single screen circuit. ‘Lahore’ opened to a very dull 5-10% response. The film will have a poor run at box office.

This Friday’s major release is Shyam Benegal’s Well Done Abba.
