Kangana Ranaut is for luck sake in ‘Kites’ Kites
She agreed to do Kites without even hearing her role. And she is not even bothered if she doesn’t feature anywhere in the promos of the film because Kangana Ranaut’s love and respect for director Anurag Basu is impeccable. The director on his part feels she is his lucky charm.

So after spending his three years in the making of ‘Kites’, Basu is not willing to make any wrong move as the movie’s release date is drawing closer. Kangs has a minor role in the film and projecting her as another leading lady of the flick could have made the film look like a love-triangle, which it is not in reality. This is what the director has to say about Kangana’s role in ‘Kites’.

“If she would have been in the promos, it would have sent out wrong signals to audience,” Basu is quoted as saying.

So, the director doesn’t want to hear the rubbish about Kangana being sidelined from the publicity of the film. “Kangana is like my lucky mascot and I like her to be a part of my films….This is why I am glad that she is a part of ‘Kites’. Even though it is a special appearance, no one is complaining,” says the director.

Does that mean we will see Kangana in his next with Ranbir-Priyanka too?
