Konkona's flip-flopping weight |

Remember the stunning Rani Mukherjee in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or the sexy Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Karan Johar knows how to present his actresses in their best form. Now, he has turned the plain Konkona Sen Sharma to a stylish girl in Wake Up Sid.

He is a master in creating casting coups and signed the talented yet simple Konkona opposite the handsome, fair Ranbir Kapoor. All he had in mind was to explore an unusual chemistry as well as acting skills of these two fine actors in a film like ‘Wake Up Sid’.

But, for Konkona it was a complete make-over. She lost weight, looked beautiful and was dressed in Manish Malhotra’s costumes. Karan who made Rani lose weight for ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ also asked Konkona to shed some extra kilos, for ‘Wake Up Sid’. The actress did slim down for the film but after the shoot got over, she was again back to her usual form. But now, a day’s patchwork shoot remains to be done and Konkona has been asked to shed weight again.

Not just Konkona, even Ranbir is required for a day’s shoot. But the problem is: Ranbir has grown a beard for Rocket Singh -The Salesman Of The Year and he can’t shave before completing the shoot, which will happen only by August end.

So, by any means, Konkona has to get back to shape by that time. She will be working out with her trainer Simi and will consult her dietician Shameem for a diet plan to reduce weight as soon as possible.

‘Wake Up Sid’ marks the directorial debut of Ayan Mukherjee, who is Kajol’s cousin and according to reports the movie is planned for early next year release.
