Namitha goes bad
When the script is penned by none other than Kalaignar Karunanidhi, the film is obviously going to be special. That’s what has got South actress Namitha super excited about the movie ‘Ilaignan’, which is being directed by Suresh Krissna.

Though the film doesn’t have Namitha in the lead role, she plays a very important character with shades of gray.

“It’s a very powerful role - a character with negative shades with which I get to experiment with my looks and costumes,” Namitha is quoted as telling a newspaper.

Namitha added that there were many reasons for her to sign ‘Ilaignan’. First, she loved her role in the film. Second, she was hooked to the script. Third, she signed up because ‘Ilaignan’ is also the 50th film of Suresh Krissna, who has directed hits like ‘Annamalai’ and ‘Baasha’.

The lead roles in ‘Ilaignan’ are played by Pa Vijay and Ramya Nambisan. The film’s shooting has already begun and Namitha has been shooting it in Ooty.
