Hrithik Roshan stops traffic at Times Square
The fans of Hrithik Roshan in New York had waited for this day for long. The New York premiere of Kites at AMC Empire theatre, Times Square, turned out to be an affair to remember for both the star and the fans.

Though Hrithik and his co-star Barbara Mori were fashionably late for the event, fans were bustling in the busy Times Square area across the 42nd street since morning to catch a glimpse of their favourite star. So instead of just giving them flying kisses, Hrithik left the red carpet and made a snappy run towards the fans, bringing to halt the busy street traffic.

Hrithik’s impromptu act created momentary panic for the entire ‘Kites’ team. Sanjeev Lamba of Reliance Big Pictures tells an agency, “We had to halt all traffic on 42nd Street for Hrithik to cross. So we can finally say Hrithik is the first traffic-stopper from Bollywood to make the crossover.”

In fact, as per reports, later Rakesh Roshan had to make special seating arrangements for hundreds of Hrithik’s fans at the extra screen at AMC Empire theatre. The female fans were crying and some of them threatened to commit suicide.
