Hrithik Roshan might be on top of the world after seeing Kites being so well received in the US, but he’s grounded into the reality of the film’s performance back home in India.
The movie received rave reviews from different news dailies and tabloids in the US. The media was generous in showering praises on ‘Kites’, when Variety magazine wrote, it’s “Deliriously entertaining”, The Chicago News city said it’s “A glory of delirium. Anything can, and does happen.” In fact, Roshan and Barbara Mori were also showered with compliments for their looks and performance in first of this kind, crossover film. However, in India the story is different and everyone knows the response to ‘Kites’ is going thanda and is on its way to fade.
And Hrithik has accepted the fact because when a fan from the US wrote to him on Twitter about a show at the AMC cinema which was fully packed, and that the audience gave the film a standing ovation at the end, the actor replied, “Thank you but it hasn’t been accepted.”
