Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor to team up again
Things are taking shape

Before 3 Idiots was made, maverick director Mani Ratnam was planning a period film Lajjo with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

In fact, Mani even asked A R Rahman and Gulzar to compose songs for the film, but as the movie set during India’s partition required a good budget, the makers were hesitant to go ahead with the project. The movie, consequently, was pushed to the backburner and eventually shelved.

Now as Mani is free from Raavan and ‘3 Idiots’ with Aamir-Bebo pair was a superhit, the prospect of making ‘Lajjo’ looks all the more alluring. According to reports, Ratnam is thinking of working on Lajjo before he starts his tentative project with Ranbir Kapoor.

And the news of reviving ‘Lajjo’ has brought a lot of cheer to Bebo, who is quoted as saying, “I will be too happy. Giggly, girlie, Barbie doll roles don’t bring out the actor in me. I want to be challenged.”

Kareena was also looking forward to get paired with Aamir again. It seems her wish will soon come true.
