Think twice before you get chatty with ‘Asin’ on any of the social networking sites. You might end up making a fool of yourself for it’s an impersonator pretending as the Ghajini star Asin.

Asin has been aware of her fake IDs on Orkut, Facebook and even Twitter, but she took it lightly, hoping that the impersonators could bring no serious harm. But now, after a few incidents that could dent her reputation, Asin is getting serious about the theft of her virtual identity.

Recently, an actress friend of hers ended up chatting and sharing some intimate secrets with the fake Asin on one of the social networking sites, thinking it was Asin the actress indeed she was chatting with. When Asin came to know of this, she was obviously shocked. Another day, a journalist approached Asin with the information revealed by the actress’s impersonator on Twitter.

With the problem swelling to a worrying proportion, Asin has decided to take action. Firstly, through media she’s clarifying to all her fans that she’s on none of the social networking sites. Only her official website, also containing her blogs, represents her authentically, Asin has clarified.

The fakes can no longer have a field day.
