Priyanka-Harman shoot a song in one go
There were no cuts in the entire song

Shooting for songs and stunts is always tiresome for actors. And when the song happens to have no cuts, it’s all the more daunting, not just for the actors but for the director, choreographer and cinematographer as well. Director Ashutosh Gowariker got innovative while shooting the song ‘Aaja Lehrate’ for What's Your Raashee? and decided to shoot the entire number in a single take.

Sources from the film’s sets say it was quite a challenge for the entire unit. The dances, the camera angles, the movements - all had to be precise. Just a small mistake meant shooting the entire song again from the start.

Not many filmmakers have dared to do it in Indian cinema. Last, it was Farah Khan who shot the song “Chale Jaise Hawayein” in her directorial debut Main Hoon Na in a single take.

Ashutosh had a five-camera set-up while shooting the ‘Aaja Lehrate’ number. The song was set in a pub and picturized on the film’s leading pair Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja and choreographed by Rajeev Surti.

The shoot was very taxing for the actors both of who had very energetic dance moves that had to be enacted precisely. Priyanka even fell ill while shooting the number.

Slated to release on September 25, ‘What’s Your Raashee’ tells the story of a young man who must find his dream girl within 10 days to save his family from troubles. Priyanka plays 12 roles in the movie, each a girl with a different sun sign.
