Blue must be a film close to Akshay Kumar’s heart. Why? While we have film stars who get their wives’ or girlfriends’ name tattooed, Akshay has a tattoo of his son Aarav’s name on his back and also got the title ‘Blue’ inked on the nape of his neck for his role of a rich but greedy businessman in the upcoming underwater adventure thriller.
In the movie, Akshay plays a man who owns 'Blue Shipping & Fisheries'. And the name of his character is Aarav. To have both the names tattooed on his body adds to Akshay’s character in the film.
“It was a brilliant idea to have 'Blue' tattooed on the back of Akshay's neck as it has added that extra edge to his character. And it was sheer presence of mind to call Akshay's character 'Aarav' as he had already inked his son's name on his back,” director Anthony D'Souza, who suggested Akki to get ‘Blue’ tattooed at the back of his neck, told a news agency.
The movie has Akshay playing a dare-devil who can go to any lengths to get his hands on more riches.
‘Blue’ is about a secret lying 250 feet in the sea. Several characters are out to find that secret but greed and envy makes them distrust and betray each other.
The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta and Zayed Khan besides Akki. Katrina Kaif has an 8-minute appearance.
