The trouble with ‘Love Khichdi’ is that after the initial half an hour, the story doesn’t progress much until the latter part of the second half when the film becomes a tad serious. Till then, the story keeps switching from the track of one woman in Veer’s life to another.
On top of it, Randeep Hooda isn’t as funny as his character demanded. True that the actor seems bursting with energy and joie de vivre but he’s unable to convincingly bring about the transition in his character as the story draws to its conclusion. Among the actresses, Sada makes an impression, so does Riya Sen and Divya Dutta. Sonali Kulkarni as the man-hating maid is a delight to watch.
If only the movie was equally funny. In the second half it keeps stretching on and on and you lose interest in the proceedings and simply hope that one of the hot babes would pop out of the screen and take the vacant seat next to you. Alas that doesn’t happen and you have to swallow the bitter reality of having wasted your time and money on this humdrum flick.
