The actress scotches the marriage rumours

Rani Mukherjee is tired of being married off time and again by the media. Every now and then we hear the rumour of Rani’s marriage to her close friend Aditya Chopra, the Yashraj Films honcho, but the actress still continues to be single.

“I can’t get married to one man for the last three years, or to different men,” Rani told a news agency in an interview.

The actress added that the marriage rumours have now begun to affect her career so much that directors and producers are apprehensive in approaching her for new projects.

“These rumours have been going on for three years and they have started now affecting my career. Lot of filmmakers who approach me for roles start by asking whether I am getting married. They have apprehensions whether I can commit myself to their project,” Rani is quoted by the agency as saying.

Rani said it’s about time media stopped worrying about her marriage, because when she weds she will not keep it a secret.

“I am the only daughter of my parents. When I get married, it will be announced publicly and will take place with pomp,” Rani said.

The actress is grabbing a lot of attention nowadays because of her new glamorous makeover and slim body she’s acquired for her upcoming film Dil Bole Hadippa with Shahid Kapur.

The direction Rani’s career takes in the future depends on the success or failure of this film. In fact, there have been rumours that Rani has moved back to her old home prior to the release of this film, because she got superstitious that her career has been going downhill ever since she shifted into her new home.

“I have made the new house for my family from my hard work, sweat and blood. My house is my temple and how can I run away from it. I am being made to look like an insecure person which I am not,” she said.

Well, a fearless Rani is taking on the media nowadays.
