|After being granted bail on Thursday by Bombay High court in the case of alleged rape of his domestic help, Shiney Ahuja flew to Delhi and then drove his father’s house in Noida. However, the actor will have to fly back to Mumbai for the trial.
The 36-year-old actor, who was released from Arthur Road jail on weekend after spending 110 days in prison, has been ordered by the court to stay away from Mumbai till the trial begins.
Ahuja, wearing a gray T-shirt, was received by his parents when he arrived at the airport along with wife Anupam at around 11.30 a.m.
The Gangster actor drove straight to his father's Church View apartments in Noida's sector 29.
“He will come to Mumbai on October 7th for the trial. He will be staying here (Noida) with his wife till then,” a source close to the actor said.
The actor was granted bail on October 1 on a surety of Rs 50,000 cash and the condition that he would stay in Delhi and report to the nearest police station regularly.
The court ruled that Shiney would be permitted to come to Mumbai only during the trial.
The actor was asked to surrender his passport and refrain from offering any inducement to witnesses, directly or indirectly, and warned against tampering with evidence.
