Neil Nitin Mukesh is giving his all to Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Jail in which he plays an innocent man thrown inside a prison, where he’s beaten up and tortured.

The young actor had already raised the bar of method acting by dropping his pants for a nude scene, which has now been pixilated (sorry, gals!) to avoid any censor hurdle, Neil has now gone further and got himself beaten up in real by the people on the sets before shooting a scene in which he’s shown battered and bruised.

Neil has done many other crazy things to slip under the skin of his character in the film.

He cut off all contact with friends and family for a few days to feel the isolation of a prisoner. He stopped taking bath and actually became dirty and smelly for a good number of scenes.

No wonder director Madhur Bhandarkar, who is a sucker for realism, was pleased with Neil’s dedication.
