Shahid Kapoor always wanted to be part of his father’s directorial debut, as the boy has always admired the versatile Pankaj Kapur and is keen to learn from him.
So, when Kapur senior is finally directing a movie, Shahid wants to be around him. Reports say that the son has kept aside his other projects for a while to concentrate on the making of ‘Mausam’ and has inked the deal for Rs 12 crore. Yes, that’s an astounding figure, but why? According to sources, money is not so relevant; Shahid just want to make sure his father gets it right.
Smart boy! The father-son duo is now gearing up for a six-city tour across cities Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad for a nation-wide hunt to select the actress for ‘Mausam’. The hunt begins on 26 November and it might be aired on TV.
Sources add that the producers of the film Sheetal Talwar and Madhu Mantena will take the help of a television channel to shortlist the girls and the final choice will be left of course to Shahid.
