Last time we saw an elaborate, magnificent Bollywood wedding, it was of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. This year, as anticipated, it’s Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra who are headed for a big, fat Indian wedding.
Though the rich and famous couple is planning the wedding in a hurry, as the auspicious date November 22 is coming closer, that doesn’t mean they are willing to compromise. According to recent reports, Raj Kundra has decided to come on a chariot to marry his ladylove, instead of the traditional way of riding a ghodi (mare).
On the W-day Shilpa is going to wear a splendid Tarun Tahilani dress, “that no bride in Bollywood or outside has ever worn before,” as per sources. However, the wedding that is going to happen in a typical Bunt (Shilpa’s community) style will see guests restricted to only family members and relatives. In fact, Shamita Shetty is also supposed to join the wedding celebrations, as she is expected to be out of Bigg Boss soon.
Meanwhile, Shilpa is not only preparing for her wedding but is also shooting for her Indo-Chinese project ‘Desire’ in Hyderabad. Reportedly, she will continue shooting till a few days before her wedding.
Khandala is the wedding venue while a grand reception is planned in Mumbai. But it is not known where the couple will head off to for their honeymoon.
