Underworld Unravelled |
There are some baddies we can’t help loving. They rule the crime world, have the police on their trail, and control the workings of the underworld sitting in their lair. Both Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have played the don chased by the police of 11 countries in the old and new versions of Don.
Ram Gopal Varma has made many a film on underworld and given us gangsters like Bhiku Mhatre, Mallik and Chandu. Anurag Basu made the gangster in love the hero of his film Gangster and showed a sly cop as the villain. And this Friday, Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi step into the shoes of gangsters from the 1970s in director Milan Luthria’s film Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai.
