Exception to the rule
Everyone goofs up once in a while. But Aamir Khan seems to be an exception to the rule. Every producer, no matter how smart, successful or astute, bungles up at least once. But not Aamir. The actor, producer, director, perfectionist and darling of masses and classes, has produced three films to date: Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Taare Zameen Par (also directed). And all of them were superhits.

Now comes Aamir’s fourth film as producer - Peepli [Live], a satirical comedy about the great divide between rural and urban India. The film is directed by a first-timer (Anusha Rizvi) and doesn’t star any popular, crowd-pulling actors. Yet, the buzz surrounding the film is so deafening that it promises to set the cash registers ringing at box office.

In the words of Salman Khan, who was bowled over after watching Peepli [Live] at a special screening, Aamir has the Midas Touch. Everything he touches turns to gold.
