The grand wedding of Junior NTR |
Junior NTR is no longer a bachelor. The young star married Lakshmi Pranathi in a traditional Telugu wedding on Thursday, and the guests couldn’t stop raving about the extravagant wedding which was one of the most awaited events of the year.
The bride Lakshmi Pranathi reportedly wore a Kancheepuram sari that came with a price tag of Rs 50 lakh approximately. Lakshmi comes from the family of politicos. She is related to the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu.
So, what made the marriage a big, fat wedding, and an affair to remember? According to reports, the kalyana mandapam (wedding stand) was erected at a cost of a whopping Rs 18 crores under the supervision of the art director Anand, and around 300 workers worked on it day and night.
The legendary Nandamuri family expected around 10,000 guests. The invitee list included relatives, politicians, celebrities and huge number of fans. One of the best catering companies from Vijayawada was hired to prepare the food for the reception. The invitation card, which was in the form of a booklet, was designed by Junior NTR’s father and costs around Rs 3,000 apiece. Also a special song was composed by Arjun for the wedding. Chaitanya Krishna and Geetha Madhuri have sung the track, while Vasanth penned the lyrics.
CM Kiran Kumar Reddy was also seen greeting the couple. Nagarjuna with son Naga Chaitnaya, Chriranjeevi with son Ram Charan Teja, Rana Daggubati and actress Priyamani were some of the celebs who were seen at the reception.
