You can stop pinching yourself. The sex bomb in the picture above is indeed Vidya Balan, seen like never before in director Milan Luthria’s skin flick The Dirty Picture.
Stepping into the stilettos of the south siren Silk Smitha entails slipping into skimpy blouses with necklines that leaves the onlookers’ eyes popped out. And Vidya seems to have done that better than her detractors would have anticipated. The uninhibited display of her cleavage, the fuller mid-riff (typical of south Indian actresses), the coy smile, and that seductive posture make her every bit the oomph diva a la Silk Smitha.
It’s a role many actresses would have squirmed before accepting. But Vidya, as is her wont, lapped it up.
