Meet the sensuous Samantha |
With the success of Prince Mahesh Babu’s film Dookudu, actress Samantha has joined the top league of south actresses. She played the solo female lead in the film opposite star Mahesh Babu and wowed the audience with her charming beauty, gorgeous smile and innocent eyes.
But when she made her debut with the Telugu film Ye Maaya Chesave essaying a quiet catholic girl who falls in love with a Hindu guy, no one could have ever thought that she could do the regular dance routines amidst trees. However, Samantha not only proved her acting prowess but also her dancing skills.
Samantha proved her detractors wrong and here she is dancing away in the glory of ‘Dookudu’. With the success of ‘Dookudu’, she has joined the likes of top actresses: Anushka Shetty and Ileana. No wonder, she also has an exciting line-up of films, including a trilingual to be directed by the maverick Gautham Menon titled Nithya in Telugu, with Nani. However, in the Tamil version, she is paired opposite Jeeva. She also stars in the big project Eega. Earlier, there were also rumours of her signing the Bollywood film Bol Bachchan opposite Ajay Devgan.
The 24-year-old actress is born to a Malayali mother and a Telugu father, but Samantha was brought up in Chennai. She is fluent in Tamil and that’s a big asset, but she tasted success first with the Telugu film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ and now ‘Dookudu’, which is again in Telugu.
