As it was expected, the Sangeet ceremony of the first Bollywood wedding of the year turned out to be a gala event. Ritesh Deshmukhand Genelia D'Souza’s wedding festivities have started with the starry Sangeet night held yesterday at Taj Lands End. Apart from the beautiful couple, who looked stunning together in designer outfits, what caught our eye at the party were other B-town couples and several glamorous ladies.

One couple that never fails to impress is Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh. The made-for-each-other duo still looks like a newly-wed jodi. Also at the party were Boney Kapoor and Sridevi. No words to express how we are still smitten by the ever-ravishing Sridevi.

As it was a Sangeet ceremony, the beauties and hunks opted for traditional outfits, so it didn’t come as a surprise seeing Arbaaz Khan, Karan Johar and even Abhishek Bachchan in embroidered kurta pyjamas and churidars.

Among the ladies who wowed us with their gorgeous saris were Gauri Khan (wish Shahrukh Khan was with her), Malaika Arora and Sophie Choudry. Also seen in an oh-so-marvelous look was Asin. The actress made the heads turn as she arrived in a bright pink and yellow attire. Dia Mirza also looked pretty in pink as she came with her beau Sahil Sangha.

But the day clearly belonged to the soon-to-be-bride Genelia D’Souza. All eyes were on her. Dressed in an exquisite lehenga choli with delicate embroidery designed by the ace Bollywood's fashion designer Manish Malhotra, Genelia looked alluring.
