When the first set of images of Kareena Kapoor doing a mujra in Agent Vinod went viral on the net, the movie buffs thought it yet to be another item song sort of track. But the mujra which shows Kareena in a hot yet traditional look is more than just a sizzling track in the film.

Kareena is not merely an eye candy in this much talked-about mujra in her beau Saif Ali Khan’s film Agent Vinod. She has a very substantial role and has also done action sequences in the film. Director Sriram Raghavan clarifies that the sizzling track was included not just to keep the audiences happy, but is intrinsic to the plot.

“Songs should take the film forward, not exist just for entertainment. There is a sequence in Karachi, Pakistan, so I thought if we have to do a song sequence, then let it be a traditional mujra,” Raghvan is quoted as saying by a daily.

Raghvan is also glad that he was able to cast Kareena Kapoor in the film. The director praises Bebo, and says that it was not an easy character to pull off. In fact, it was Kareena, who made the character better than what was originally conceived in the film Agent Vinod which is set to release on March 23.
