A champagne eve!
Shilpa Shetty’s sister Shamita Shetty and friend Kiran Bawa hosted a lavish baby shower for her at Shilpa-Raj Kundra’s residence in Juhu. Bollywood beauties and yummy moms attended the party. Husband Raj Kundra gatecrashed the women-only event and felt like ‘Krishna Kanhaiya’ with all the wonderful ladies giving him company.

The fashion statements at the baby shower were high on summer chic. Due to the season or say the event, the Bollywood ladies came dressed in colourful and printed short dresses. The theme for the party was pink and blue, and it’s learnt that Shilpa’s mom was even wearing a grandmother badge. Soon-to-be mom Shilpa Shetty chose a Nandita Mahtani kaftan for the evening. Raj Kundra even posted an image of her from the party on twitter.

Shamita as a host looked wonderful in a chic cocktail dress, while the one who didn’t fail to impress was Malaika Arora. Less said the better. The Munni of Bollywood arrived at the party wearing a light-blue printed dress, which she teamed with a yellow jacket. The wedges and the designer tote complemented Malaika’s look.

Malaika’ sister Amrita Arora too looked prettily chic in a short printed frock. We also became a fan of Neha Dhupia’s casual dressing. Sameera Reddy, Farah Khan with her three kids, Anu Dewan, Maanyata Dutt, and many others made a beeline at the baby shower. Reportedly Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai were also invited to the party, but neither of the two were seen.

Since it was a day event, a high tea and champagne eve, the ladies had the option of choosing something breezy, light, short, and pastels. The soft, feminine yet chic looks worked for most of them. Low on glam, but high on appeal.
