First look and trailer: Kamal Haasan’s action thriller ‘Vishwaroopam’

First look and trailer: Kamal Haasan’s action thriller ‘Vishwaroopam’

A racy spy thriller
Kamal Haasan is ready with his magnum opus Vishwaroopam - a racy spy thriller. Made on a huge budget of approximately Rs 150 crore, the film will release in Tamil as well in Hindi. Vishwaroopam totally belongs to the superstar Kamal Haasan because he has written, directed and even produced the film.

The film also has an ensemble star cast featuring actors like Rahul Bose, Jaideep Ahlawat, Samrat Chakrabarti, Zarina Wahab and even Shekhar Kapur, who will be seen in a cameo in the film.

In the movie, Haasan will be seen opposite two actresses, one is singer-actress Andrea Jeremiah, and another is the beautiful starlet Pooja Kumar, who plays Dr. Nirupama. Actually for the role of the lady doctor many actresses from Bollywood were approached. In fact, Sonakshi Sinha was even confirmed for it, but later the actress opted out due to conflicting dates with her Hindi assignments.

Kamal Haasan will be seen doing a double role in the film. He plays an accomplished Kathak dancer and also a stylish spy. Since the actor has never done traditional classical dancing, he appointed the renowned Birju Maharaj to learn Kathak.

The first look of Vishwaroopam shows Kamal Haasan in the two characters. The Tamil star is incredible as a Kathak dancer, and has managed to get the mannerisms of a dance professional perfectly. The audiences can see that in the trailer as well. Kamal excels in both the roles, and that makes the first trailer of the movie a riveting watch.

“Vishwaroopam revolves around a marriage of convenience and the desire of the wife to spy on her dancer husband to find an excuse to leave him. This results in wires getting cross connected and all hell breaks loose,” says actor-director Kamal Haasan. The movie is releasing on July 13.
