The first part of Anurag Kashyap’s film Gangs Of Wasseypur has the movie buffs all agog for the second part. Now as the first has nailed it at the BO, the proud producers are ready to release Gangs Of Wasseypur 2 on August 8 and here is the first trailer of the film.
The trailer starts with Mohsina (Huma Qureshi) and Faizal Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) sharing a filmy conversation. The unusual pairing of the two and the sizzling chemistry they share in the first part gets more footage in the second. The trailer even has the two getting sticky, suggestive of a romp in the bed. Apart from being steamy at points, the trailer is the usual gunfest introducing the new characters of the GOW - Part 2 and establishing its antihero Faizal Khan, a role tailor-made for the versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
If after seeing Gangs Of Wasseypur you were in awe of Manoj Bajpai (the intrepid, but wife-fearing Sardar Khan), then the second part belongs to the incredible Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Do note when he tosses the cigarette up in his mouth, not an Amitabh Bachchan with his looks and height, but grabs your attention with his mysterious yet very charming on-screen persona of Faizal Khan -- Baap ka, dada ka, sab ka badlaa lega tera yeh Faizal. If Huma Qureshi is charismatic, Siddiqui is the dark chocolate boy of the film.
The other characters to look out for in the next part are Perpendicular, Definite, Samshaad (Rajkumar Yadav) and Tangent. Shocked by the geometric names, we are wondering what would be the conclusion of this epic revenge saga. A special mention of the young and dynamic Sneha Khanwalkar, the music director of the film: her songs revved up the first part, and now listen to Mera Joota track that plays in the background of the trailer.
Here’s the trailer of Gangs Of Wasseypur 2. Do tell us how many times you watched it. It’s addictive:
